Have a Mentor...

Do YOU have a mentor? It doesn't have to be someone you've met; it can be an author that speaks directly to your heart, a speaker who speaks your language, a pastor who shares in such a way that your heart is stirred. Or all of the above. That's who John Maxwell is to me. He has mentored me since I was a newly married 21 year old woman. I have read his books, listened to his cassette's, then cd's, attended his live meetings, and have been an active member of his Maximum Impact group. Now, as a married mom of 6, a business woman, a leader of women's ministry at my church; ceo of my own company; I am a better human being because of his influence in my life. I never even thought I'd ever meet the man and thank him personally for adding value to me for the past 22+ years, and yet, my awesome God gave me the opportunity to meet him, thank him, gush on him, and introduce him to my Team Beachbody peers at our most recent Summit event in 2013.I love and admire John Maxwell for loving his wife, his kids, his grand kids, and for adding value to every person he comes in contact with; whether in person or in books.Just as the apostle Paul suggested;  I'm following him, as he follows Jesus. :D
