Are You Living Your Purpose?
This seat was Nelson Mandela's favorite seat when he rode on this train called the Belmond Pullman (it's a fancy shmancy British train).
The reality is, it's just a seat on a train, but a few years ago, I was in London and had the privilege of sitting in the seat that he sat in often. Here, he’d look out the window and think private thoughts as he traveled from one spot to the next. I was there for a fun adventure, but even in that busy train, with my friends being silly and festive all around me, I took a private moment to think.
I too am a traveler, often on a road from one place to another. You are too.
It makes no difference if you're driving carpool, taking the metro in to work, or flying on a plane.
Like President Mandela, we all have a purpose tucked in our heart, one that might even feel too big to pursue. One that in private moments we think about, dream of, play our scenarios, and perhaps even question if we are doing, or being enough.
Today, find a chair to take a pause and consider what you might do to take one step toward living out that purpose.
Don't stop yourself, just think. Dream. Block out distractions. Pray. Make a plan. Then...ACT ON IT.
Doesn't matter if it feels impossible, or too big, or scary.
One step today. And tomorrow you can take another step. That's how it works for everyone.
One day at a time.
One step at a time.
“It always seems impossible until it's done.” ― Nelson Mandela
