Family through international Adoption

Our youngest Morrow kids.

Before KC and I got married I told him that I believed God planted a dream in my heart when I was 14.

I don't remember if I was awake or asleep, or even the date, but I recall a very clear mind picture of me, looking down at a little son with brown skin.

And in my bones I knew that baby was mine.

And in my very real, and very personal God picture, I knew my son was adopted from Ethiopia.

And I knew there was to be 2.

Very specific, I know. But from that point on, I knew it would be my story. I kept it private, just between me and God.

That was 1984.

When KC and I started dating I shared it with him, the first person I ever told, and asked him if he thought HE could raise and love adopted sons.

He said without hesitation: yes.

Fast forward to 2006 when God whispered in my ear: "It's time."

These two little guys were just babies on the other side of the world, and God had birthed them in my young heart more than 2 decades before they were even born.

The completion of a dream, and yet it was just the beginning when we stepped foot on Ethiopian soil to bring them home, 22 years after the initial dream.

Today, those babies are 18 and 20 years old. Two grown men who now have a testimony of their own of what God has done, is doing, and is calling them to in their future. Their lives have enriched ours more than we could have ever imagined, and God has taught us all so much about what it means to be family and to follow Jesus.

Just wanted to share a tiny bit of our wonderful adoption story around national adoption day!

God makes family, and His handprints are all over ours. What a GREAT story our lives have been because we’ve allowed Him to write ours!

Helping you live YOUR great lifestory, and sharing a bit of my own~
