Changing Eating Habits
Did you know that 80% of health and wellness results are a result of what you're eating/drinking?
If you’re looking to make healthier choices, a great place to start is by drinking water and eliminating sodas; both regular and diet.
Then, make small and steady dietary changes; incorporate more vegetables into your meals.
Cut out processed foods.
Start tracking what you put in your mouth.
You may be surprised at your thoughtless snacking.
Moms, did you know that when you graze off your toddlers leftover plate, you may be adding a few hundred calories PER DAY without even realizing it? And its not about the calories as much as the CONTENT of the calories. As a young mom, I found that in my busiest years I was living off of a pot of coffee for breakfast, then sandwich crusts, leftover apple skins and peanut butter, crackers, cheese, and cheese or whatever other carb I could throw in my mouth when I got the hunger and caffeine shakes mid afternoon. Not exactly nutritious. Not ever close, actually.
It’s amazing how organized and how much easier life is when you meal plan and grocery shop every week. Takes the guess work out of dinner time when you know you’re having spaghetti or tacos for dinner.
Make sure your fridge is stocked with healthy options so you're not tempted to hit the drive-thru in a pinch. (I can help you with a plan for that if it's your struggle - and it doesn't require a ton of time!)
Small changes eventually lead to positive, lifelong healthy habits.
Don't ever let yourself believe that you’re doomed to repeat old bad habits passed down from the generations before. You can take back the reins and change the future of your family’s health legacy.
WHERE you put your weight on is your body type and what you inherited from your family.
The weight itself is all about what you're eating.
True story. And I’ll help with planning in the next blog!
